Fabric Samples – 16-Piece Pack

This Shweshwe sample pack includes sixteen fabric samples selected from across the full colour and pattern range. All colours are represented, with a broad mix of traditional Shweshwe designs.
 
Half of the samples are rinsed and half are unrinsed, allowing you to experience the natural texture differences created by the heritage starching process used in authentic Shweshwe production. This finish, historically achieved using potato starch, is a defining characteristic of true Shweshwe and should not be confused with waxed African fabrics.
 
Each sample measures approximately 21 cm × 24 cm and the set is presented in a boxed format, making it easy to store and reference. An information sheet is included to explain the fabrics, finishes and heritage processes. This pack is an ideal starting point for exploring Shweshwe before committing to larger cuts, and is well suited to quilting, sewing, homeware projects and creative experimentation.
